Bill Rammell MP Set to Visits Harper Adams

The Minister of State for Lifelong Learning, Further and Higher Education, Bill Rammell will be visiting Harper Adams University College, Shropshire tomorrow. Harper Adams has the only Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning amongst land-based institutions in the UK higher education sector.
The University College is well-known for its employer engagement activities and puts much energy into working with rural businesses and communities. Whilst visiting the Minister will be researching the successful relationships that have been developed by the University College with businesses, organisations and employers. Bill Rammell MP will specifically hear about the range of new courses that have been launched in collaboration with rural businesses and related professional organisations together with the leading role in rural initiatives that the University College takes through the National Rural Knowledge Exchange (NRKE) and Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE).
The Minister will meet representatives from Harper Adams and some of the businesses that work closely with the University College to develop the skills of students, many of whom are engaged in professional development programmes. Representatives include business leaders from JCB, Animal Medicines Training Regulatory Authority (AMTRA) and MDS Ltd.
